Job Title: Data Migration Lead
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Long Term Contract

**Job Description**:
Data Migration Experience with ETL is asset.
Experience in ETL, Informatic, Data Warehousing, Etc.
Assist in designing, planning and managing the data migration process.
Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan.
Work independently as a self-starter, and within a team environment.
Work across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data migration.
Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
Work with customers in gathering technical requirements for data migration needs.
Share knowledge with team members and develop customer solutions efficiently.
Perform source system data analysis in order to manage source to target data mapping.
Perform migration and testing of static data and transaction data from one core system to another.
Creation of end-user documentation for the new repository, as well as mentoring & training as needed.
Attaching metadata to documents by analyzing their content or working with knowledgeable owners or teams.
Identification of, or creation of, cost-effective tools that may automate data migration.
Updating and maintaining a database of records which index and reference archived documents.
Migration of key documents from legacy tools to a common SharePoint-based repository by following established processes.

**Requirements**:
Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
Relevant working experience in ETL, Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, PowerShell scripting, Databases, Unix Shell etc.
Knowledge in the Data Warehousing Domain.
Good understanding of RDBMS databases.
Good exposure to different Data Modelling techniques.
Familiar with Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
Understand different interface files.
Strong written and communication skills.
