Permanent, full-time - 35 hours per week

We are currently recruiting a permanent, full-time GIS Analyst for our Enterprise Systems and Analytics department.

About this Opportunity:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Collaborate with organizational business units to understand priorities and needs to establish expectations and deadlines
- Create and distribute appropriate mapping solutions for internal and external clients, including administration business process maps, event maps, and other mapping solutions as needed
- Provide technical and specialized solutions for internal clients, including designing graphics, modifying, or marking up documents, plotting posters, and field surveying
- Optimize GIS databases and datasets by creating or modifying data schemas, and data relationships and implementing data model design best practices including attention to ongoing future data maintenance

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor of Applied Technology Degree (_or related degree_) with two years of relative experience; or, a GIS Diploma (_or related diploma_) with five years of relative experience
- Three (3) years of GIS experience in a municipal setting
- Experience in maintaining existing and implementing new corporate GIS and spatial data repositories
- Must have extensive knowledge of ESRI software including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online and the ArcGIS Field Maps suite
- Knowledge of Python and SQL languages
- Knowledge of Safe FME, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with GPS capture practices and Trimble products
- Experience with cartography for both digital and paper mediums, as well as best practices in terms of data management, data translation, relations database principles, cartographic techniques, and coordinate systems
- Must live within the capital region
- Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
