The LCS Foundation’s purpose is to promote the advancement of Lakefield College School, with responsibility for all fundraising initiatives in support of the School as well as managing the endowment. The Foundation is passionately committed to making the LCS of tomorrow an even better place for young people to learn and grow.

**Position Description**

The Data Officer will have a particular focus on supporting our fundraising database, analytics and reporting needs, but will also support other priority data analytics requirements across a variety of departments at LCS.

The principal responsibilities of the Data Officer will include:

- Fundraising Database Management_
- Lead the optimization of our Raiser’s Edge NXT database (or such other fundraising data systems that may be implemented), including maximizing its functionality, implementing best practices in data management, standardizing data entry processes for all users, and remedying legacy database anomalies
- Serve as a point of contact for all Raiser’s Edge NXT database users regarding questions about its functionality, analytics and reporting
- Manage all aspects of the data entry interface to ensure quality control and data integrity
- Work closely with the Director of Information Systems (IS) to coordinate database demands and functions
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure donation and accounting accuracy, and to reconcile fundraising and accounting data as required
- Perform regular Raiser’s Edge NXT database maintenance, including monitoring, performance analysis, query development, and constituent record clean-up
- Remain continuously informed about and implement relevant best practices related to database management and the administration of Raiser’s Edge NXT
- Fundraising Data Analysis, Reporting, Pipeline Management and Major Gift Program Support_
- Create and periodically update tailored fundraising management reporting, dashboards and visualizations to help focus and drive fundraising, including key strategic fundraising reporting documents tailored to various core audiences (e.g., Board of Directors, Fundraising Committee, Finance Committee, Foundation Trustees, Head of School / Foundation as well as the Foundation team)
- Analyze donor data to identify trends and develop strategies to increase donations
- Conduct strategic donor prospect research
- Leverage data to support portfolio management, stewardship and fundraising success
- Support the advancement of a high-performing major gift program through regular prospecting and screening, as well as presenting newly identified prospects at pipeline management meetings
- Work with the Executive Director, Advancement to identify and measure key indicators of performance related to donor activity, solicitations, and gifts closed
- Gift Processing Standards_
- Ensure a positive donor experience through efficient and accurate gift processing and acknowledgement
- Develop and maintain consistent processes for gift entry, donor management (including pledge reminders), acknowledgement and reports
- Support for School Data Analytics and Reporting Needs_
- Provide data analytics and report generation support for various key functions at LCS as needed, including with respect to constituent surveys, school governance meetings, enrolment management, finance, program, research, and others
