**_JOB DESCRIPTION_**

The Assistant Store Manager/ Keyholder is responsible for day-to-day operations of sales, staff selection, inventory management, supervision and scheduling, training, loss prevention, administrative tasks and opening/closing duties for the store. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure all inventory is replenished in a timely manner, help with managing staff and coordinate product orders. You will be a key component in driving sales and ensuring that customer service standards are being met.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with the Store Manager to drive sales and brand awareness
- Support with overseeing the store architecture and delegating duties accordingly
- Support the Store Manager to ensure staff are engaged and decrease turnover
- Assist in hiring and building strong internal pipelines through coaching
- Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example
- Support in managing all in-store product and merchandise
- Offer solutions to the Store Manager to build a strong business and culture
- Seize opportunities to drive results and ensure operational excellence
- Train and develop your team of retail sales staff; ensure staff are educated on all products
- Build and cultivate lasting customer relationships and enable all staff members to do the same
- Demonstrate strong time management and organization skills to keep priorities in focus
- Effectively communicate needs and ideas to upper management in order to elevate the business
- Meet sales targets and ensure the business achieves profitability by supporting the Store Manager in controlling costs (labour, supplies, inventory etc.)
- Create relationships with local businesses and participate in community events
- Stay up-to-date (and ensure staff are up to date as well) with product knowledge, company information, new launches, campaigns and promotions
- Enforce all company policies and programs, ensuring compliance
- Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, provincial and municipal legislation

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must pass and present required background check
- CannSell certified prior to start date *must provide up to date copy of certification
- Cannabis retail experience is preferred
- 2 years Retail management experience preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and PC software such as Excel
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work with and inspire others
- Ability to give clear and effective feedback in the moment
- Strong time management skills
- Valid G Drivers licence and vehicle in good working order is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
