**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Field Services Manager or Chief Inspector as assigned by the Manager, the Inspector will be responsible to conduct field inspections, analysis, and observations of telecom construction work in a specific geographical area.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Train and develop Junior Contract Inspector(s).
- Provide daily work instructions, task assignments, follow-up, and support to Junior Contract Inspector(s).
- Preliminary visits to worksites prior to construction to confirm scope of work and identify any job constraints or hazards.
- Complete inspection during construction phase.
- Final restoration inspection (including spring clean-up when applicable).
- Ensure projects are completed on time, control extra charges and monitor customer quality expectations.
- Perform job tracking to ensure accuracy of billing.
- Resolve variances and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Document in writing all modifications with the reasons for deviations, work stoppages, design changes, etc.
- Document daily production/progress and maintain a daily construction diary and provided to Bell Canada.
- Ensure the contractor has all necessary permits, permissions, and consents prior to commencement of work.
- Complete red line mark-ups of corrections/changes directly on the work plans so as-construct plans can be produced.
- Coordinate work activities with Program Manager, Project Administrator, Junior Inspectors, Project Engineers, Municipal representatives, construction Foreman and crews.
- Adhere to strict project budgets and client deliverable dates.
- Other activities as required.
**Salary**: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
