WF Steel & Crane is a leading fabricator of structural steel and overhead cranes located south of Edmonton in the Nisku Industrial Park, Alberta. We are currently looking for a full time Safety Coordinator to join our Safety Department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform thorough facility and client site inspections to ensure compliance with provincial legislation and company policies
- Investigate all incidents and near misses, review, and complete documentation, and identify and recommend corrective and preventative actions
- Drive, Support, and contribute to the company’s continuous improvement program and culture
- Prepare and maintain all requirements, documentation, and filing for COR certification and audits
- Participate in safety initiatives and improvements and be an advocate for safety implementation across all aspects of the company
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining client pre-qualifications including ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, and Avetta
- Assist in administration of the company safety program including tracking certifications, scheduling training, and maintaining safety records
- Conduct monthly safety meetings
- Participation in the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Create HSE bulletins, memos, and safety alerts
- Review and coach on field level hazard assessments
- Perform additional assignments per managements direction

Minimum Qualifications:

- 2+ years of relevant health and safety experience
- Valid class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Strong organizational and communication skills (oral, written, and visual presentation)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the manufacturing industry and/or field environment
- University or college diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields
- Experience with Manufacturing Health & Safety Association (MHSA) and COR Program

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
