Researcher Validation

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Understands the North American dairy sector and value chain and build relationships with key stakeholders;
- Responsible for primarily dairy; there will be a component of poultry and swine;
- Participate in the development of a collaboration network with leading research universities/institutes in Canada;
- Prepare and review protocols for the validation trials related to Trouw Nutrition products;
- Support the development and execution of research agreements;
- Monitor and ensure the successful execution of the animal trials;
- Prepare and review trial reports and communicate the outcome to research, business and technical teams regionally and globally;
- Liaise with global and local TN technical teams responsible for global and local products, programs, and services;
- Participate in dairy portfolio and technical meetings;
- Support the preparation of business cases for research;
- Present at scientific and technical conferences.

**PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA**:

- PhD or equivalent with technical/R&D experience in animal nutrition and/or animal health;
- Knowledge of and experience in the Canadian dairy industry, with additional knowledge of and experience in other farmed animal industries in Canada;
- Understanding of practical dairy production and the supply management system;
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Significant experience in planning research trials and project management
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English (French an asset);
- Ability to function as a team player within a multi-functional team with mínimal supervision;
- Strong data analysis (SAS software experience preferred) and interpretation skills;
- Willingness to work with multiple farmed animal species, as necessary;
- Desire to develop new skills and responsibilities;
- Superior computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel;
- Willing to undertake occasional domestic and international travel.
