**You are**
A **_Fund Development Assistant_**. You are an integral part_ of the _Fund Development Team, reporting directly to the CEO of Manitoba Possible. The role is responsible for assisting the Fund Development Specialist in creating and executing fundraising strategies and initiatives such as donor stewardship, major campaigns, special events, and direct mail.
**This is.6 EFT, 1-yr term position.**
**Your Role**
Fund Development & Donor Stewardship
- Set up and monitor all online donation pages.
- Maintain fund development websites and social media in conjunction with Marketing & Communications.
- Utilize Raiser’s Edge marketing functions for optimal donor and analytics.
- Integrate online donations through Blackbaud Merchant Services.
- Grow external contact list by working with Marketing and Communications.
- Ensure accurate database information by working with Administrative Assistant/Gift Processing Clerk.
- Assist Fund Development Specialist increase donor relationships.
- Assist Fund Development Specialist with targeted donor stewardship.
- Prepare Century 21 Kids to Camp materials for Manitoba Branches.
- Steward Century 21 Kids to Camp participants throughout the year with organization updates and stewardship.
- Work with Century 21 offices on fundraisers throughout the year including annual golf tournament and curling bonspiel.
- Work with third party fundraisers on setting up online donation pages, paper pledge forms, receiving proper information about Manitoba Possible and how their fundraiser will help the organization, accepting donations & providing proper receipting information to Database Administrator.
Special Events
- Organize and maintain participant communications and online registration pages.
- Provide ongoing communications and support to participants, volunteers, and vendors.
- Attend pre-event sessions to assist participants and encourage fundraising.
- Recruit and schedule volunteers for special events with Human Resources.
- Coordinate and supervise volunteers at special events with Human Resources.
- Solicit raffle prizes, organize pick up and assemble packages.
- Confirm all supplies are organized and packed for event day.
- Assist with event set up.
- Make sure food and beverage stations are well stocked for participants and volunteers.
- Confirm prizes are picked up by winners and any vendor items are returned to their store.
- Assist with event take down.
- Send post event thank you to all prize donors with an update on the event and their impact.
- Send participant and volunteer survey at the conclusion of the event.
Major Campaigns & Direct Mail
- Assist Fund Development Specialist with Easter Seals Canada UNSTOPPABLE campaign through such tasks as confirming new partnerships, communicating with partners for logistics and promoting the campaign, obtaining feedback via survey.
- Organize timeline and printing details with printing company.
- Maintain updated mailing list with Administrative Assistant/Gift Processing Clerk.
- Organize 3 month follow up plan for donor stewardship.
General Accountabilities
- Contribute to an environment of collaboration, respect and teamwork.
- Represent Manitoba Possible in a professional and ethical manner to ensure that the reputation of the organization is maintained and enhanced.
- Attend internal events and campaigns, such as Red Shirt Day and Our Charities Campaign.
- Conduct all business and activities in accordance with Manitoba Possible policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned/required that fall within the scope of the position.
**What You Know**
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a charitable organization in fund development.
- Experience with donor databases, such as Raisers Edge.
- Experience with various donation sites, such as Raisely, Canada Helps, etc.
- Experience in planning and executing fundraising events.
- Ability to handle pressure while balancing priorities within time & resource constraints.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, sensitivity to diversity and empathy.
- Understanding of the barriers faced by people with disabilities.
- Ability to work with external stakeholders and capacity to deal effectively with a wide range of relationships and situations.
- Ability to make independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Great organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s license or access to other reliable transportation. Ability
