**Position: Barn Assistant**

This is a unique opportunity for a student with horse experience to join our amazing team

Pride Stables offers therapeutic Horseback Riding to Children/youth & adults all with disabilities. In the Summer we offer our fully integrated summer day camp program.

**Our facilities cannot be reached easily by public transit.**

Rate of pay: $16.55 per hour

Starting May to the end of August 2024 There is a possibility of an extension until the end of November 2024

**Description**:
We are currently looking for a barn assistant to do morning chores

7:30 - 11:30 Monday thru Friday

**What we’re looking for**:

- You **MUST** be going back to school in September 2024
- You **MUST** have Horse experience
- You **MUST** be able to identify and manage horse related injuries and illnesses
- Team player, but able to work independently and follow instructions
- Valid G2 Drivers license
:

- Assist staff as required to bring in horses
- Muck stalls
- Empty & Clean water buckets
- Fill outside water troughs and clean as required
- Feed horses inside and outside
- Take hay to both fields
- Take horses out after breakfast
- Sweep barn floors


**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
