We are looking for **Chef/Cook** to join our Sidney Care team in Sidney, B.C.

**What does a Chef do in a Long-Term Care Facility?**
- Work with the Dietitian to prepare appropriate menus for the residents
- Lead the kitchen in preparing the main meals
- Order all food and supplies for the kitchen
- Monitor food cost and maintain budget
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Request feedback from the residents about food preferences and menu development
- Prepare specialized and textured diets

**Qualifications of a Chef**
- experience working in a hotel/banquet/fine dining preferred
- experience in preparing specialized and textured diets preferred
- experience as a Food Nutrition and Support Manager preferred
- Red Seal or equivalent
- Proof of COVID vaccination

**About Sidney Care**:Sidney Care is located on Vancouver Island in sunny Sidney, BC and offers residential care to 54 clients. Sidney Care has been in operation for many years and provides a home like environment to its residents. The facility was recently renovated and is tastefully decorated. Sidney Care works in collaboration with the Vancouver Island Health Authority, to ensure quality care to all of our clients.
