Babysitter/nanny

Overview:
We are looking for a caring and detail-oriented nanny/mother’s helper to join our family on a live-out basis, fostering son's growth and development while enjoying a supportive work environment. The position will involve teaming up with Mom on childcare while employer is on maternity leave.

We are a busy household of professionals, doing remote work in a lovely corner of Ancaster, Hamilton next to greenspace and a range of child-geared activities.

Schedule: 4 weekdays between 12 noon and 4pm (3-4 hour blocks per day, days of the week flexible)

Duration: This is a part-time position from June 10 through to September (Labour Day), with the potential for extension beyond the summer depending on performance.

Description:
**Responsibilities**:
Engage in stimulating and age-appropriate activities with our son, fostering his development and creativity (all resource materials, craft supplies will be provided)

Supervise playtime, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment at all times.

Assist with childcare related duties such as light tidying, laundry, bath time and meal/snack preparation for our son.

Take our son on outdoor walks or to nearby playgrounds, weather permitting.

Qualifications:
Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred.

Must be patient, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of our son.

Mandatory Screening Criteria
- Willingness to work in a fragrance free environment
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Criminal background check / vulnerable sector's check required.
- Willingness to work in a setting with limited cell phone use / screen time.
- Proof of up-to-date COVID, flu and standard vaccinations required (for start date and on an ongoing basis). Willingness to adhere to all ongoing federal and provincial health guidelines required.
- No sponsorship possible.
- Non-smoker preferred.

Compensation:
Paid hourly rate.
