Family practice looking for a Physician Assistant in Mississauga, Ontario. It is a part time position /full-time position. This is a practice of 1100+ patients rostered and a waiting list of 200+. It is an integration of Allopathic and Naturopathic medicine, and is a congenial, team-based work environment that focuses on balancing the health of the health care professional as well as the patient. A blend of in-person and virtual visits are available. Schedule is Monday
- Friday from 9AM-5PM with an occasional part time Sunday. This position is open to new graduates.

**Key Responsibilities**

Provide direct patient care and medication/treatment administration and document care in compliance with Integrative Interactive Health’s standards and policies and procedures

Respond to patient/family concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken and or concern communicated to the Supervising Medical Director and other integrative care practitioners;
Attend and participate in monthly team meetings

Uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity

Maintain updated malpractice insurance, professional membership and continuing medical education

Complete all other duties pertaining to patient care as assigned by the Supervising Medical Director

**Qualifications**

Must possess current or obtain (before being hired) malpractice insurance.

Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Program.

Must hold a valid Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) certification through the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) OR a valid Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (May be required to provide proof of maintenance of certification).

If a new PA graduate: Must be eligible for certification with PACCC; employment contingent on successful completion of the PACCC PA Entry to Practice Certification Exam.

Interest in nutrition, dietetics, and any other lifestyle medicine preferred.

Must possess strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management and customer focus skills.

Must have demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and the ability to collaborate with providers across multiple health disciplines.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.

Basic computer knowledge and EMR. Knowledge in Accuro preferred.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
