Assisting the business function and/or Business Excellence Centers, as a Trade & Transportation Specialist, you will ensure that goods are shipped while meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. In this role you will maintain and improve transport/logistics processes to optimize product and material deliveries.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Coordinating daily activities to track finished goods and raw materials, and rerouting freight to meet demand and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure proper documentation and adherence to import/export regulations.
- Working with transport service providers and brokers to effectively execute processes, assisting in obtaining permits, and preparing proper documentation.
- Aiding the development and implementation of improved processes and systems, and maintaining the master data
- Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
- Develop and implement processes for efficient recordkeeping to support audits and reporting requirements.

**Your background**:

- Five years in trade compliance, customs regulations, and international trade.
- General knowledge of international trade compliance at export controls, sanctions and customs regulations level (also based on training received )
- Knowledge of ECL (Canadian Export controls classification) and EAR/ITAR (USA export control classification)
- Knowledge of product classification and rules of origin (an asset)
- Full proficiency in both French and English (as you will interact with clients and suppliers all across Canada)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with SAP and GTS (an asset).
