**Purpose**:
The Environmental Intern assists the Environmental Technicians in their everyday tasks.

**Essential Duties**:

- Assist the performance of environmental monitoring: effluents (mine, sanitary), surface water, groundwater, drinking water and other effluents.
- Help maintain and ensure the integrity of the monitoring data.
- Perform environmental inspections. Identify and report non-compliances with environmental regulations or best practices.
- Assist and advise the operations personnel to maintain good management of residual hazardous materials, solid waste and spills.
- Participate in the workers’ environmental training and awareness program.
- Assist in environmental monitoring of the various construction work on the site.
- Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety.
- Perform all other tasks related to the performance of his/her duties

**Training & Experience**:

- College or university education in environment or related fields.
- Proficiency in Office Suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver's licence mandatory
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card
- Bilingualism, French/English an asset

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Teamwork skills

**Working Conditions**:

- Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
- Eleonore Mine site (Fly-in, Fly-out)
