**Job Summary**
As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a key role in assisting with the daily operations of the bakery department. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing bakery items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
**Duties**:
- Assist customers with bakery product inquiries and purchases
- Prepare and package bakery items such as bread, pastries, and desserts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery display cases and work area
- Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, and slicers
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure quality and freshness of products
- Receive and stock bakery ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with the bakery team to meet production goals
**Skills**:
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in cash handling procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is beneficial
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
