**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Clerk B contributes to the effective operation of the nursing unit by acting as the central communication person (for the unit). The Clerk B performs reception, clerical and administrative duties following hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of maturity and discretion in handling confidential matters.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII plus one year related clerical experience or recognized one year secretarial/business program
- Previous unit clerk experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
- Experience using STAR, PHS, SHARE, HPF and Millenium preferred
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm during an emergency and deal with numerous interruptions and continuous change an asset
- Knowledge of computers and typing required
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.09 - $21.91 Hourly
