**The Job Summary:
The Informatics Coordinator, as a member of the Digital Health Solutions and Information Technology team, is directly responsible to the Director of Digital Health Solutions and Information Technology. The Informatics Coordinator supports the philosophy and mission of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph (SJHCG) and established goals, objectives, and policies of SJHCG.

The Informatics Coordinator works in partnership with program and team leaders in providing leadership, direction, staff training and technical expertise in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of software and technology to assure efficient delivery of consistently high-quality care. The role provides leadership in assessing current processes and oversees the ongoing development, evaluation, and modification of technologies and data for reporting and decision making.

**Key Accountabilities & Success Criteria:
- Develop and support an enterprise analytics and reporting system to extract data from various information sources, develop, generate, and distribute standard reports and respond to ad hoc data requests from internal and external customers.
- Think creatively and build solutions and reports to deliver the information for healthcare leaders to make important operational and strategic decisions.
- Meets regularly with managers to remain appraised of business operations, and support management decision making by designing queries, analyzing, and interpreting the results, and assess data quality issues.
- Use health informatics principles and methodologies to collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to inform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure all data solutions are consistent and that all automated processes preserve data by managing the alignment of data availability and integration processes.
- Provides validation and assists in the quality assurance processes that serve to ensure the consistency, integrity, and accuracy of clinical and utilization data.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced patient care.
- Contributes to a transparent culture of client and staff safety by adhering to and abiding by patient and staff safety policies and procedures set by SJHCG.
- Promotes an environment that encourages and supports change using change leadership theory.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related discipline.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of information management experience.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Experience with enterprise reporting systems such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
- Strong understanding of health informatics principles and methodologies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Experience in software testing, including developing test plans and executing tests.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff, technical support teams, and other healthcare professionals.
