The Opportunity
This role will be responsible for the inspection of items at incoming and in-process steps, but also the improvement of inspection processes and the promotion of metrology knowledge and good practices. The Manufacturing Quality Technician will be part of the Manufacturing Quality Systems group and will work closely with the operations team.

What You’ll Do
- Perform (variable, attribute, etc.) inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished goods items.
- Use appropriate software to document findings, follow inspection routines, and use quality tools needed for inspection.
- Discuss incoming quality issues with the Material Review Board (MRB).
- Investigate and disposition parts and materials.
- Use micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, threaded ring and plug gages, and various other hand-held measuring devices.
- Process RMA material.
- Conduct and coordinate First Article Inspection.
- Coordinate Nonconformance Material and create required reports.
- Compile Device History Records and other inspection records.
- Become familiar with quality tools and root cause analysis methodology.
- Other responsibilities as required.

What You’ll Need
- College certificate or university degree in a mechanical/electrical/technical capacity, or equivalent experience
- Experience with metrology standards, methodologies, and equipment
- Experience in a medical device company
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong written and verbal English skills

It’d Be Amazing If You Had
- Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- ASQ CQT is an asset. American Society for Quality - Quality Inspector or working towards.
- Familiar with Lean methodologies.
- Experience with PLM, CRM, ERP, and issue tracking software.
- Knowledgeable in the following standards: ISO 13485.
