**ROLE DESCIPTION**:
GENREP has been a provider of Power Product solutions to Canadian businesses since 1983. Starting as a Service organization focused on maintaining Emergency Standby Generators, we have grown to an organization that provides end to end Generator and Engine solutions.
Our experienced Service technicians are thoroughly trained on maintenance and repair for natural gas
- and diesel-powered engines and generators, transfer switches, and fuel systems. Also in the field, we have a projects team that supports our customers’ needs for turnkey generator and fuel system installations. Our solutions are cost effective and leverage our field experience to ensure our customers receive a solution that works.
Genrep is positioned for significant growth, and we are currently looking for an energetic,
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Assemble, repair, adjust, and modify all components of the generator, engine and switch gear.
- Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems.
- Experience with industrial engines and/or generators.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment within the facility.
- Understand and make daily efforts to prioritize and address Key Performance Indicators:
- Deliveries & Deadlines
- Efficiency & Productivity
- Cost Reduction
- Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Maintain a clean & organized facility.
- Maintain shop equipment to ensure it operates safe and well, and alert their manager as soon as repairs or scheduled maintenance is required.
- Always perform duties in a safe and effective manner and follow all Genrep and Provincial/Federal safety standards and guidelines.
- Follow all Genrep policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or required by business needs.
- Can physically lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly; can work while standing for up to 8 hours and/or remain seated for up to 8 hours.
- Team player with excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships.
- Ability to work overtime hours as needed.
**Shift Time**:7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Thursday
**Hourly Wage**: 20 - 25/hourly
**Location**: Waterdown, On
**Report to**: Production Supervisor
**Desired Skill, Knowledge, and Experience**:
- Technical technician post-secondary degree or equivalent experience; preferably mechanical.
- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and/or Millwright certifications and/or training are an asset.
- Experience with computer control panel interface, programmed logic control troubleshooting, and/or programming is an asset.
- Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and identifies opportunities to drive the company’s vision forward.
- ERP/WMS experience is an asset.
