Overview
The Health Care Operations department of WorkSafeBC is looking for two **Co-op Students, Health Care Operations** to join our team to assist in the processing of accounts for all health care related expenses associated with claims.
**Where you’ll work**
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and be on-site at a minimum of twice per week in our Richmond office.
What you'll do
- Assist in processing health care accounts for services and goods provided to injured workers in accordance with the Workers Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC policies.
- Determine the validity of health care related charges via validation queues.
- Streamline workflow processes by gathering data, testing and validating current practices.
- Prepare and send a variety of correspondence to claimants and other related parties when health care benefits are adjudicated.
- Assist in identifying and correcting accounts incorrectly billed; calculate and process credits on accounts incorrectly paid.

**Your background and experience**
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a post-secondary institution
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word).
- Analytical skills are an asset.
- Previous co-op or relevant work experience in an office environment preferred.
