Millright - Maintenance

What your day to day will include:

- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of all production machines.
- Trouble shooting of plants instrumentations and process equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Minor equipment fabrication.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Participate in PM program to ensure continuous improvement on all machines.
- Perform a basic knowledge on PLC’s troubleshooting.
- Work with other members of the maintenance team to ensure compliance to any construction, renovation or updates.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, checks of all electrical alarms on the plant.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, Scissor Lifts, booms and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working different shifts and weekends as necessary.

The person we are looking for will ideally have the following:

- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years related experience in a high-volume Manufacturing environment; Red seal experience is a definite asset but not required.
- Licensed Millwright certified to work in Ontario as an Industrial Mechanical Millwright.
- Experience using PLC’s and working with Robotic controlled industrial equipment is an asset.
- Experience of Mig and Stick welding.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical prints.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with staff and management.
- Able to efficiently and effectively handle shifting and multiple priorities.
- Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
- Able to work well under pressure in fast paced environment.
