Drywall Taper

Designers Showcase Inc. is a design house for interior and exterior, landscape and flatwork. We do demolition and renovation of existing homes and build custom homes.

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The Taper will be responsible for preparing walls and ceilings for painting by taping and finishing drywall joints.

**Responsibilities**:

- Measure, cut, fit, and fasten drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
- Smooth out imperfections with trowels and sanders
- Use hand tools or machines to prepare drywall surfaces for painting
- Work from ladders or scaffolding to reach high ceilings or walls
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Taper or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to drywall finishing
- Familiarity with caulking, carpentry, and construction painting is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship skills

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: On the road

Expected start date: 2024-06-03
