Highway Lane Closure Technician

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

BCW Traffic Management Ltd. is a leading traffic control company in BC looking for experienced highway Lane Closure Technicians (LCT) in **Chilliwack and Hope area**, who will work closely with management team in the pursuit of successful execution of projects and growth opportunities. This position reports to the Operations Manager of BCW Traffic Management Ltd.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide buffering services to client's workers on the highway by operating BCW Scorpion
- Verify and meet safety expections.
- Correct improper and unsafe work activities and conditions.
- Identify any new workplace hazards and taking steps to ensure everyone stays safe.
- Ensure trucks maintained according to manufacturers specification, mileage tracked to reduce fuel spend.
- Ensure equipment is tracked on a bi-weekly basis.
- Provide training to teammates
- Liaise with clients and ensure a healthy open working relationship is developed and maintained.
- Work with management to ensure safety, operational and financial targets are exceeded.
- Uphold and improve company safety program and performance

- Represent BCW traffic management and perform your job to best of your ability.
- TCP certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on highway as LCT.
- Familiarity with construction and traffic management drawings
- Strong written and spoken English
- Must have ability to multi-task and use sound judgment to prioritize activities
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter and able to excel with limited supervision
- Out of the box thinker who is creative in problem solving to meet client needs
- Class 3 drivers license with air indorsement.

**Salary**: $29.00-$30.00 per hour
