We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals with high standards to join our dynamic team as Coating Production Associates for a full-time permanent role.
- **Shifts**:_
Rotating shifts every 2 weeks:
Day shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Monday to Friday, 40-44 hours per week;
Afternoon shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am
- Monday to Friday, 40-44 hours per week (Shift Premium).

- **Job Summary**_
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:_
- Organize incoming jobs by priority.
- Read and understand work orders, follow instructions on printed work orders.
- Responsible for following work procedures and work instructions, which have been defined for each process of manufacturing of lenses.
- Able to identify lens and be proficient at trouble shooting issues.
- Operating machinery and overseeing production (Tracing, cutting, and mounting finished products).
- Reduce machine downtime.
- Maintain machinery by running efficiency tests and following procedures.
- Understand the mechanics of machinery to troubleshoot issues by working as a team with the machine, production manager, and maintenance manager.
- Ability to analyze problems, integrate information from a variety of sources, and to think problems through critically/logically looking at all possible solutions.
- Use various hand tools and checking equipment to accomplish tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on lens. Ensure that all lens are checked and fall within standard, measured to specifications and within tolerances.
- Verify final orders for customers with quality checks.
- Learn optical parameters.
- Maintain clean and tidy workspace.
- Follow all Shamir Canada company policies and procedures.
- Observe and follow all health & safety regulations.
- Ad hoc duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency.

- Detail oriented with positive professional work ethic.
- Familiarity with operating fine machinery.
- _**Knowledge of optical theory and lens production is an asset.**_
- Excellent communication skills while working in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Conscious of all detail and quality standards.
- Conducive to change.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Very clean and tidy establishment.
- Climate controlled environment.
**_Physical requirements: _**
- Standing or sitting long periods of time.
- No heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling.
**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
