The Financial Services Branch (FSB) is a team of 41 dedicated, client-oriented finance professionals that serves as the central financial hub for Economy Sector Ministries, overseeing financial management strategies and the overall framework. Our mission is to deliver exceptional client service while ensuring robust financial management practices. We establish financial structure, processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms to effectively manage finances and meet fiscal targets, offering expertise in budgeting, forecasting, corporate activities, and financial policy advice. FSB operates in a pod-model which supports the four Economy Sector Ministries including the ministries of: Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation, Labour, Municipal Affairs and Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport.

**The Role**
The FIFA World Cup 26 (FWC26) will mark the first time that the tournament features 48 teams and will be hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Vancouver is a host city and will be hosting seven matches for this marquee event at BC Place, including two knockout matches. The Ministry of Tourism, Arts Culture and Sport is the lead ministry responsible for FWC26 in BC and is responsible for financial oversight of the delivery of the matches by the Host City (Vancouver) and Stadium (BC Place). As the Manager, Budgets and Reporting you will be a key member of the project providing financial support, such as the tracking and reconciliation of partner spending, and the processing of funding claims.

**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Professional accounting designation (i.e. CPA)

Related experience includes the following:

- Experience in budget development and estimates preparation, financial planning and analysis, budget monitoring, and preparation of reports for executive staff.
- Experience interpreting legislation and/or conducting analytical research to support budget development and evaluation.
- Experience in cost allocation and expenditure tracking and reporting.
- Experience developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Experience analyzing financial data for variances and trends and recommending remedial action.
