**We are seeking a full-time **Supervisor-Chemistry**/Logistics/Prep**aration **for our Edmonton location.**

This position provides the opportunity to work for a growing company, achieve professional growth within the organization.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supervisor of Chemistry/Logistics/Prep is responsible for organizing and coordinating the overall operation of the chemistry, logistics, and sample preparation teams.:
**Skills required but not limited to**:

- Ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met within the laboratory safety and quality procedures.
- Coordinating, facilitating, and monitoring the daily activities of the chemistry, logistics, and sample preparation teams.
- Work with assigned staff to ensure work schedules are maintained and balanced.
- Promote a culture that inspires operational excellence.
- Communicate with internal staff regarding delays in expected deliverables.
- Monitors lab supplies and equipment; ensures sufficient stock of all critical items is maintained.
- Co-ordinates requests or recommends resource planning (e.g., need for additional staff or equipment)
- Management of housekeeping schedule and cleanliness in the lab.
- Technical support (e.g., client communication or internal staff)
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including GMP and ISO17025
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient analytical laboratory space
- Adhere to the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance with existing project-specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures and wearing always required Personal Protective equipment.
- Assign work with a functional understanding of the direct report’s strengths and developmental opportunities.
- Authorizes final or revised Certificate of Analysis.
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualification Requirements**:

- BSc in Chemistry or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a commercial laboratory
- 2-3 years’ experience in a leadership role with direct reports
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety and quality

**Work Environment and Physical Demand**:

- Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light objects (under 15 lbs.).
- Walks, sits or stands for prolonged periods.
- Requires prolonged machine operation including keyboard and computer.
