**Scope**:
Support the branch in achieving the business delivery and operational objectives by assisting in all aspects of Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory. Support and back up for Sales department providing daily operational support of branch operations.

**The responsibilities of the **Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator **include, but are not limited to**:
The processing of shipments, administration of shipment documents, and communications, and will perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or forklift equipment. Ensuring that all items are counted for accuracy and shipping documentation is completed for a timely delivery. As well as manage verification of incoming inventory, acceptance, counting, and inputting into the Inventory system and ensuring branch Inventory is correct.
- Packing and shipping of all goods, including assembling and preparing orders for shipping, recording every detail of the order, delivery methods, and other logístical details.
- Examine outgoing shipments, and ensure items are labeled with all vital information and packed correctly for shipping to ensure shipments meet requirements.
- Accountable for ensuring that each package gets shipped correctly and timely to avoid missing deliveries or lost goods.
- Contact carrier representatives to obtain quotes, arrange shipment, and issue documentation and instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records shortages, and corresponds with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Receive, register, and store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, recording order details on the computer system
- Monitoring, and maintaining inventory of materials and supplies. Advising when ordering more units is needed.
- Resolve discrepancies between orders and goods, such as delays, condition, weight, quality, etc.
- Maintains an accurate Inventory, catalogs incoming, stored, and outgoing goods, as well as scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Maintains cleanliness throughout the warehouse through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging and carries out facilities maintenance duties as needed.
- Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving issues or discrepancies as they arise
- Ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items, sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
- Operates a forklift or hand load to accomplish shipping/receiving duties.
- Tasks within QuickBooks
- Monitoring inventory levels and ordering materials from suppliers, as needed
- Enter inventory receiving into QuickBooks
- Assist with performing inventory cycle counts
- Freight Bookings - incoming and outgoing
- Courier Bookings - incoming and outgoing
- Handling customers coming in with purchasing needs, picking orders, and completing sales.
- Support and backup for salesman

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by management with respect to branch operations as assigned/needed

**Key Skills**:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Prior office administration and warehouse experience
- Shipping and Receiving experience is an asset
- Experience with preparing shipments including documents is an asset
- Physically capable of lifting items and containers 50lb +
- Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and High attention to detail essential
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision in a busy environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is a must
- Must be willing to train in our QuickBooks System
- High attention to internal and external customer needs
- 6 months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
