Who we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wind Technician, Level 3 to join our team in the Greater Sudbury Area. The Wind Technician, Level 3 will play a crucial role in leading maintenance and repair efforts on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This position requires exceptional technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for renewable energy.

Day to Day responsibilities:

- Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on wind turbines and associated equipment.
- Perform advanced diagnostics to identify and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Mentor and train junior technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to optimize turbine performance and longevity.
- Coordinate with the Wind Operations, Site Lead and management teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Utilize data analysis tools and software to monitor turbine performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with and maintain inventory management and procurement of spare parts to support maintenance activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Scheduled On Call Support.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in wind energy or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Wind Technician or similar role, with demonstrated trouble shooting and leadership experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with a deep understanding of wind turbine systems and components.
- Proficiency in hydraulic systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to climb 100m (300ft) multiple times per day.
- Must live within 45 minutes of site location.
