**Cascadia, an urban Camphill community in North Vancouver, is looking for upbeat, enthusiastic and reliable coworkers to work with adults with special needs in our Fiber Arts Studio.** We are looking for an individual with skills in fiber arts who will be leading the weaving studio. Cascadia Day Program offers variety of craft activities such as Fiber Arts work, Clay workshop, Candle workshop, Home Skills and Garden program and afternoon activities.
The Cascadia Society Day Program is supported through Community Living funding. As such we are now required to comply with the PHO directive to **provide proof of full vaccination or a valid exemption letter.** To get a better sense of our community please explore our website.

**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**:
- Coworker flexibility i.e. group or one to one setting with a companion as required.
- The Cascadia Centre business hours are between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, and the coworker’s activity will be within these hours. On occasion (i.e., special activities, late companion pickups), coworkers may be asked to work outside of that time frame.
- Coworker must be in general good health and able to support some light lifting i.e. meeting companion personal hygiene needs.
**Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, Certification)**:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with people with special needs
- Must be punctual, meticulous, and reliable
Courteous manners with the public - ability to interact in a mindful and professional manner.
**Salary**: From $22.04 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week

- We are looking for an individual who has solid skills in fiber arts and is able to collaborate with a small team of fellow coworkers providing relevant and meaningful craft activities for people with special needs in the fiber arts studio. Please provide examples of your experience in one or all areas of fiber arts: weaving, knitting, sewing, felting, beading etc.
