**Primary Duties**
**Education, Certification and Other Qualifications Required**
- Minimum 2 year Diploma from an accredited Community College in an Electronic, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Journeyperson Measurement and Communications certification status (4-year training program).
- Ability to obtain a G3 Gas Certificate will be required during the 4 year training period.
- Experience in an electrical or natural gas environment. Experience analyzing consumptive and power quality data. Experience in a utilities environment will be considered an asset.
- Experience with specialized metering software is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with analyzing equipment and communication systems is considered an asset.
- Expertise with computers generally, and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Demonstrated ability to use intermediate mathematical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and customers, written and verbally.
**Special Working Conditions/Conditions of Employment**
- Ability to work in varied environments including confined spaces and in adverse weather conditions.
- Maintain a valid Class “G” driver’s licence throughout employment with a clean driving record
