Own AOS program as a Line Lead

The Production Supervisor monitors operations of the production department to ensure that qualitative and quantitative measures included in the operating plans are met. Specific focus is on sanitation and quality results (HACCP and SQF), health and safety, good manufacturing practices and productivity. The incumbent participates to maintain the requirements on food safety, quality and defense. Other areas of focus are employee relations, production scheduling and staffing, cost reductions, liaising with our chemical supplier and customer satisfaction.

As an AOS line lead, the individual will own the execution of the AOS program in the respective area, driving continuous improvement, and supporting other AOS teams.

Responsibilities include:

- Drive continuous improvement
- Lead loss elimination projects
- Provide training and coaching of the AOS team and operators
- Liaises with the Quality, Maintenance and Production Departments to minimize downtime and ensure product safety and quality;
- Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation is suitable for third party / customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP, and status at the plant;
- Undertakes other functions as required;

You have experience in quality assurance, HACCP, GMPs combined with strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills within a unionized environment. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and leading change would be considered an asset.

You are expected to promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.

**Requirements**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility
- Working knowledge of the administration of collective agreements;
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and be willing to work a variety of shifts including coverage of other departments
- Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team
- Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems (HACCP and SQF), an asset
- Six Sigma Green belt qualification
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, work well under pressure
