**Venue Event Coordinator**

**Location**: Canmore, AB

**About Us**

We are a thriving wedding and event collective in the heart of Canmore, Alberta, dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. With stunning mountain views and a vibrant community, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional service and attention to detail. We’re seeking a passionate, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator at our two wedding venues, Mainspace & The Gem.

**About the Role**

As the Event Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through every step of planning their event at our venue. From initial inquiries to the final clean-up, you’ll ensure each event runs smoothly, exceeds expectations, and leaves lasting memories.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Respond to client inquiries and schedule venue tours.
- Collaborate with clients to plan and execute events, ensuring their vision aligns with venue policies and capabilities.
- Manage event bookings, contracts, and payment schedules.
- Coordinate with external vendors (catering, decor, entertainment, etc.) and ensure compliance with venue requirements.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all logistics run seamlessly.
- Move tables, set up decor, arrange candles, and assist with physical event preparation as needed.
- Quickly identify and resolve on-site issues during events to ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain venue inventory, including equipment, furniture, and decor.
- Ensure the venue is clean, organized, and ready for upcoming events.

**Qualifications**
- Must have 2 years of event or wedding experience
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends; a flexible schedule is mandatory.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including moving tables and setting up decor.
- An eye for design and attention to detail is a bonus.
- Ability to work well under pressure, problem-solve, and think on your feet.
- Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or a similar role is an asset.
- A passion for creating memorable experiences.
