The Waypoint Research Institute (WRI) is currently seeking a part time Research Analyst. The incumbent will carry out a range of research activities within the Waypoint Research Institute. The incumbent will support an implementation research project aiming to embed patient-oriented research (POR) principals within the mandates, policies and procedures of two forensic mental health care settings across Canada. The position will involve the following activities: conducting a narrative literature review of published and grey literature, organizing project team meetings, supporting project management, and creating and disseminating knowledge translation (KT) products (infographic, lay summary, report) with the project team’s KT Coordinator. A background in POR and/or co-design and/or stakeholder engagement considered a strong asset.

The WRI contributes to the field of mental health by providing strategic leadership on research and academic issues; facilitating innovating science and high quality applied research that aligns with Waypoint priorities; fostering partnerships and research collaborations across Ontario, in Canada and internationally; prioritizing knowledge translation that improves mental health and addictions care; and offering mentorship opportunities for students and trainees in a unique facility.

Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. The office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON._**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Conduct literature searches and reviews
- Assist in preparing materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations
- Coordinate and participate in project meetings
- Assist in preparation of research ethics proposals
- Participate in data collection
- Participate in data analysis and assist with data analysis and summaries of results
- Assist in preparing reports, articles, and presentations
- Participate in presentations within the Waypoint Research Institute
- Maintain a log of all research activities
- Attend conferences and other meetings as necessary

**Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s level degree (completed or pending) in a behavioural/life or social science field with relevant post-degree research training preferred
- Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis
- Experience in research with a record of achievement in scholarly work (publications, presentations, completed research projects in work or senior undergraduate/graduate setting)
- TCPS2 Certification preferred
- Detail-oriented in order to ensure data is checked and consistently accurate
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills\
