Progressive Rubber Industries is a leader in the manufacturing of abrasion and corrosion resistant components for the Mining, Aggregate and Power Industries and has been in operation in Kamloops BC since 1997.
We are currently looking to hire a **Shipper/Receiver** who will be responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving of products and ensuring the accuracy of all orders.
*Wage will depend on certifications, skill level, and experience*
**Job Requirements**:
- Receives goods into inventory, including unpacking and verifying contents against appropriate documents; ensures received goods are accurately input into the computer tracking system
- Accept and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Maintain internal record-keeping systems.
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- May work under the general direction of a supervisor/leadhand; however, they make their own decisions on priorities and the order of tasks, unless informed of pressing priority.
- Will be expected to undergo training to become a back up leadhand in the event of vacations, illness or injury.
- Liaison with co-workers is needed to co-ordinate the movement of goods into and out of the plant.
- Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information.
- Maintain Bills of Lading, book and arrange carriers for timely delivery of goods.
- Files packing slips from suppliers and co-workers; prints service and production documents as required.
- Ensures the Shipping/Receiving area is always maintained in a clean and organized fashion.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- **Qualifications and skills required**:

- **2+ years’ previous experience as a Shipper/Receiver.**:
- **Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize multiple tasks.**:
- Good communication and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Forklift certification, TDG and experience with shipping documents is an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $21.03-$25.98 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
