**Hours**: Monday to Friday Rotating Days & Afternoons

**Pay Rate**: $19.00

**Position Overview**:
The facility adheres to US Homeland Security CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program access control including inbound and outbound shipments, visitors and contractors. The position will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions to fulfill duties including foot patros.

Experience with CTPAT would be an asset. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service along with good computer abilities are all core requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to: CTPAT Procedures, Weigh Scale Operation, Covid Screening, Access Control, Monitor Security Systems, Conduct Security Patrols, Respond to Emergency Situations.

The applicant must possess the following:

- Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Write clear, concise and legible reports

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard licence
- Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate
- Proof of double COVID-19 Vaccination
- Proficient in English, both written and oral

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service.

- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Write clear, concise, and legible reports.
- Communicates any concerns/issues with Operations Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Perform contractor site safety training for any contractors coming onsite
- Check and update insurance and WSIB status for contractors working onsite
- Escort terminated employees to their vehicles, seize parking passes/other stakeholder property and ensure they leave the site
- Assist in new guard training
- Arrange shift coverage for call ins at the site
- Assist with facilities emergencies
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act.
- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service along with good computer abilities are all core requirements.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear, concise, and legible reports.
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy.
- Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.
- Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.
- Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
