**Position Overview**:
The **_Shop Foreman-Welding Supervisor_** will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the day-to-day manufacturing operations. The Shop Foreman provides leadership, technical support and fosters growth and development based on Inland’s values, while providing excellent customer service. In addition to supervisory responsibilities the Shop Foreman is expected to perform manufacturing duties consistent with their core area of expertise (Fitter Welder, Industrial Mechanic, etc.).

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)**:

- Monitor daily work requirements to determine necessary staffing levels and delegate, realign and cross train staff to improve productivity;
- Assist Manufacturing Manager with recruitment, onboarding, employee training and development for the facility;
- Assign duties and monitor performance of resources ensuring they understand and carry out work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training or accepted company practices and procedures;
- Provide training and guidance to employees in the proper welding and fitting processes;
- Develop, maintain and ensure that fellow employees follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and complete job hazard assessments (JHA’s);
- Ensure all reporting and record keeping is complete, accurate and timely as per company policies;
- Investigate bottle necks in production, identify development needs in projects, documentation gaps and opportunities for improvement and communicate solutions to management;
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations as well as provide leadership and coaching to increase overall safety, performance, productivity and efficiency;
- Assist in implementing and following up on procedures to maximize productivity in a cost-efficient manner ensuring daily, weekly and monthly production goals are met;
- Perform regular employee evaluations and assessments;
- Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and report any issues or inconsistencies to management;

**Welding Supervisor Duties including but not limited to**:

- Supervision of welding activities on the shop floor and when required to be present at site
- locations where welding activities require supervision.
- Ensure weldments are in accordance to welding standards and procedures.
- Keeping records and documentation up to date in accordance to certification requirements.
- Ensure QA requirements are being meet in compliance with certification.
- Provide guidance and support as required to welding personnel.
- Participate in quarterly engineering audits and CWB certification audits as required.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
- CWB Welding Supervisor Certification.
- Red Seal/Journey Person certification considered an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- 5+ years’ experience with core manufacturing processes and exceptional fitting and welding experience;
- 5+ years of previous supervisory and/or management experience;
- Deep understanding of Inland products, processes and build procedures;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret documents including safety rules, operating and procedure manuals and provide a foundation of open communication;
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel;
- Ability to break down complex tasks into components that can be explained and easily understood by affected stakeholders;
- Must have the ability to mentor and train personnel to accommodate future growth and expansion;
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills;
- Ability to maintain quality and meet deadlines and must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach;
- Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure within fixed time constraints;
- Ability to exhibit sound judgement and confidentiality;
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers;

**Work Environment**:
The **Shop Foreman-Welding Supervisor** will spend most of their time in a manufacturing and production working environ
