**The Opportunity**

Terra Early Learning is a brand new child care center looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to oversee the organization’s marketing activities. As the Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement strategies to establish the school’s community presence and refine it moving forward. This position also manages brand position externally within our community of families, and ensures tone of voice is aligned with our school’s philosophy, culture, and objectives.

The mission of the Marketing Department is to build, launch, and maintain a strong and consistent brand personality that represents our culture, ethics, and vision for early childhood education.

**The Role**

As the Marketing Manager, you will:

- Develop a strong understanding of Terra’s school culture, and what differentiates us from other early learning centers.
- Develop and manage marketing plans and advertising strategies that align with Terra’s philosophy and culture to reach objectives.
- Manage multiple marketing channels to maximize reach and engagement.
- Create and curate content for our social media channels. Track and report on social media insights and analytics regularly.
- Organize and plan outreach events to promote the school by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements.
- Present Terra authentically and establish relationships with the online community by engaging and responding to them in a timely manner.
- Create strategies for growing and nurturing our community.
- Provide up-to-date information on our programs offered to students.
- Work closely and meet weekly with the leadership team and educators to refine marketing strategies.

**The Qualifications**

The Marketing Manager has:

- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, or related degree combined with strong communications, and marketing experience.
- Proven work experience as a marketing manager or in a similar role.
- Experience in digital and video production, technical marketing skills, and creative skills.
- A minimum of 3 - 4 years experience in marketing and social media.
- Demonstrate excellent writing, grammar, and content creation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in both English and Mandarin is an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a creation, growth-stage environment. Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to work independently.
- Well-organized, adaptable, flexible, and maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks.
- Possess excellent time management skills and has the ability to prioritize and multitask_._
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and is results-oriented.
- Actively participates as a member of the team toward the completion of goals and towards a positive and professional workplace.
- Have experience in managing social media channels, such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Red app.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, is self-motivated, takes initiative, and continuously achieves great results.
- Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
- Problem-solving, thinking critically and in an integrated manner while presenting innovative ideas.
- Have a passion for building and maintaining relationships.
- Have knowledge and prior experience using marketing platforms for social media scheduling (Meta Business Suite, Later) and others such as WordPress, Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram Ads, Mailchimp, and graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
- Experience with content management systems, marketing platforms, media monitoring, publishing tools, and SEO.

**Commitment**
- Full-time, Permanent.
- 40 hours per week.
- Some evenings and weekends will be required.
- Estimated start of position in winter 2023.
