The Primary and Community Health (PCH) Branch within the Health Workforce Planning and Accountability Division has the lead role in setting system level strategic policy directions, funding and accountability related to PCH and chronic disease management (CDM). The Branch is also responsible for ensuring coordination and consistency in the development, interpretation and implementation of health policy or programs relevant to or having an impact on PCH and CDM.

The Manager of Community Health Populations plays a crucial role within the Primary and Community Health (PCH) Branch of the Ministry of Health. The Manager is responsible for overseeing a variety of activities to ensure that Alberta Health's priorities are met, ultimately contributing to the improvement of health outcomes for the population.

**Key responsibilities of the Manager of Community Health Populations includes**:

**Qualifications**:
4 years university graduation in a field related to the position assignment, supplemented by four years related experience.

**Equivalency**:Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

**Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in progressively responsible leadership roles, showcasing the ability to guide and manage teams effectively.
- Proven track record in policy development, implementation, and alignment with organizational goals and government directives.
- Experience in contributing to and shaping long-term strategic plans, translating vision into actionable goals and initiatives.
- Successful history of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Proficiency in project management, program administration, from conceptualization to execution, with a focus on achieving desired outcomes.
- Previous involvement in driving innovation, managing change, and introducing improvements in healthcare practices.

**Preferred**:
