Cad Technician

**Innovation Saskatchewan** supports Saskatchewan’s research community and technology sector to create economic growth and diversity. As the central agency for the Government of Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan is responsible for implementing the province's innovation priorities and growing the technology sector. Innovation Saskatchewan develops policies and programs and conducts activities that assist in the implementation of research & development, science and technology for the province. This includes developing and operating Saskatchewan’s research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.

**The Opportunity**

**Primary Responsibilities**

Duties include but are not limited to, the following:

- Maintaining as-built records of the built environments for our research and technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina
- Creating graphic documents to support business development activities, facility operations, project planning and to fulfil tenant requests.
- Assisting with risk management to the agency by maintaining archival data pertaining to fire / life safety documents and hazardous building materials plans
- Managing the Innovation Saskatchewan - Saskatoon on-site plan library and technical resource library

**What We Want from You**
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 or better with 3+ years’ experience contributing to the development of contract document packages (including final working drawings and project specifications for commercial interior projects)
- Basic understanding of Revit and Adobe Acrobat DC
- Basic understanding of the National Building Code of Canada, National Fire Code of Canada, corresponding codes and local bylaws
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to be a collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills who can also function independently with a high level of initiative and organization.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, resolve conflicts and meet deadlines in an environment of constant change.
- Drive to be innovative and creative in your work and be a problem solver.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Architectural Technology Diploma from a recognized technical program or equivalent education
