**Program Manager - Defense**

**In you Role with our Team, you will**:

- Thoroughly understands the customer’s requirements from specifications and statements of work and addresses these requirements throughout the complete design, test, and production build process.
- You will use proposal plans and strategies to lead team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans, and business plans that achieve overall current and long-term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division.
- Balance program risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets.
- Conduct reviews to drill down into issues on products/programs, identify issues, develop corrective actions, and communicate issues, impacts and corrective actions to program teams.
- Identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles.
- Lead negotiations, proposal, and commercial impact phases for contractual change management throughout the program execution.
- Create and deliver budget and schedule to key stake holders internal and external
- Manage people who lead cross-functional program teams that are focused on the delivery of a product from design to release for customers.

**Your Background**:

- 15 years of progressive experience in Project Management, with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager.
- 6 years of experience managing defense contracts.
- Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Possess a P.Eng License within the province of Ontario
- Master’s Degree of Business Administration.
- Ability to track work accomplished to baseline plans and identify issues, track progress, and follow through on effective corrective actions based on data analysis and trends.
- Strong knowledge of government contracting practices and regulations regarding acquisition
- Develop and execute detailed proposal plans and strategies
- Lead program in customer negotiations and negotiate win-win solutions
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, and multiple priorities, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and within established timelines.
- Critical-thinker, problem-solver who focuses on continuous improvement
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.

**Location and other Key Details**:

- This position will be based in Ottawa, Ontario.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
