Produce Clerk

Part Time up to 32 hrs/week

We're a family owned and run butcher shop & specialty grocer located on our farm and we're searching for an energetic and positive new team member for our produce department.

REQUIREMENTS:

- No previous produce experience required - training provided
- Positive and upbeat attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Be able to work as a team member and as an individual

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Provide customers with a pleasant shopping experience, assisting with providing produce related information and suggestions.
- Stock and organize produce displays in an attractive manner
- Ensure fresh product through stock rotation, product culling, and pro actively addressing quality concerns
- Produce related production including trimming, cutting, and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the department
- Receive and unload deliveries, including verifying order accuracy and quality
- Compile and send orders daily
- Opening/Closing shifts, requiring independent set up and take down of displays

**Grocery, Retail, Customer Service Sales and receiving orders experience considered an asset**

Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and repetitive lifting heavy boxes or crates up to 50lbs.
