Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks in our shop, including fabrication/polishing, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and opportunities for growth.

**Duties**:

- Assist with fabrication and polishing tasks as directed by the supervisor
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Assist with material handling using cranes and forklifts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic math calculations to measure materials accurately

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role strongly preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of the stone industry strongly preferred
- Ability to operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain a timeline and execute time management skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to work well in a team environment

**Salary**: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
