**Fibre/Maintenance Technician**

Schedule:

- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Opportunity for overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Bay, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- 1 year (preferred)

**Education**:

- Post-secondary education in Information Technology or Grade 12 education with relevant experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Install fibre cables in the ground and on utility poles,
- Install, maintain, and repair fibre and tower sites,
- Machine operator: tractor, trencher, vibratory plough, excavator, and bucket truck,
- Maintain trailers and equipment,
- Pull fibre through the conduit,
- Remove trees from utility lines,
- Utility locates,
- Troubleshoot site HVAC and generators,
- Organize and prioritise work,
- Analyse and resolve problems,
- Be responsible for equipment and vehicles,
- Take a daily inventory of the equipment needed for the job,
- Work collaboratively with management and colleagues,
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities,
- Valid G class driver’s license,
- Clean driver’s abstract,
- Clean Criminal Background check,
- Ability to work well within a team,
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Company and established safety and privacy policies and requirements,
- Basic knowledge of wireless networking,
- Experience working with heavy equipment and machinery,

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
