Sewing Machinist

We are looking to hire a sewer who is efficient, fast, responsible, and willing to rise the ranks for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for sewing material as we make clothing. You also will be required to clean or do any other duties that are required for the shop. To ensure success as a sewer and raise the ranks for this company they require someone who is competent and has a great work ethic.

**Job Duties**:

- Operate industrial sewing machine
- Operate surging (locking) machine
- Attention to detail is a must have qualification for this job
- Measure, mark, cut and sew any fabric according to hardware to fit on
- Must be able to sew 3mm thick silicone kidder, velcro or seatbelt on to fabric
- Must know how to function on/with single needle, cover stitch, blind stitch, serger stitch
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and well with others
- Take accurate measurements and understand job scope to prioritize work load
- Detail oriented for keen quality control
- Demonstrate oral/written communication skills
- Complete time sensitive projects as needed
- **Flexibility to stay longer hours when needed**:

- when sewing work is not needed - you may be required to assist in other light production related work
- Keeping track of inventory of all sewing related materials and order with vendors with approval as necessary

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
