Responsible for all required training and orientation of new and current drivers, in support of our Kentville terminal.
- Canada-only and cross-border drivers.
- Road test prospective drivers. Provide input to supervisor on hiring.
- Train prospective employees for upgrading their licenses and any required retraining. M.T.O. signing authority will be required.
- Check drivers’ licenses with the M.T.O. on a regular basis.
- Lead the driver coaching and mentor program (added in)
- Conduct safety meetings as required. Plan and research selected topics according to driver meeting schedule set out by supervisor. Ensure attendance is recorded.
- Assist in log auditing and driver record maintenance in accordance with U.S. file requirements.
- Coaching of Drive Cam events with drivers. Maintain an overdue for coaching threshold of less than 10%.
- Aid in recruitment functions that require Driver Services staff in attendance. This includes but is not limited to terminals, job fairs, industry truck shows.
- Ensure the supply of new driver material is adequate. Assemble when required.
- Aid in the compliance of the driver files of TruckRight
- All other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 1A driver’s license with 3+ years’ experience
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills as dealing with Operations staff, drivers, Driver Supervisor are essential.
- Knowledge of trucking industry.
- AZ/Class 1 license.
- Willingness to advance educations
- Team player.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
