**Salary Scale**:$55,000.00 to $65,000.00 plus benefits, pension.

**Position Summary**

The Manager of Programs and Services will work in collaboration with and report to the

Executive Director to oversee and manage the various programs and services offered by the

Association. The Manager of Programs and Services must be a well-organized, strategic and creative thinker in order to identify the needs of the hearing loss community as well as design and implement appropriate community programs to address those needs.

**Duties and Responsibilities ** o Demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills and contributes to the success of the association by ensuring the association’s programs and services remain responsive to the direction and needs of hard of hearing persons. o Provide supervision to staff and others reporting to this position. o Valid driver’s license. Must be willing to travel. Travel expenses paid by the association. o Represent the organization professionally and confidently in both written and verbal communications, internally and externally. o Write communications copy, including press releases and correspondence. o Demonstrate the ability to analyze issues and innovatively solve complex problems independently. o Maintain inventory and budgetary controls. o Provide leadership support to various team members. o Maintain a close working relationship with the team o Available to work some evenings and weekends as required. o Other duties as required to enhance the mission, vision and values of CHHA, Sudbury.

**Qualifications ** o Completion of relevant post-secondary degree or diploma and/or 3-5 years of experience. o Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. o Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and establish rapport with clients.
- Comfortable working in a close-knit team environment. o Highly proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power

Point, Access, Word). o A background in teaching, communications or health care would be asset. o Demonstrated ability to implement tactics to help maintain organizational awareness and messaging. o Understanding and sensitivity of issues relating to people with disabilities /hearing loss an asset. However, training will be provided.

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, Sudbury is a consumer based non-profit organization that is run by and or persons who are hard of hearing.

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) was organized in 1982 to meet a need not addressed by any other organization. It is the only national voice of hard of hearing people in

Canada. CHHA Provides a vehicle for hard of hearing and deafened people to make their needs known, and to work at ensuring those needs are identified and addressed.

The CHHA, Sudbury Branch received its charter in 1988. Initially formed as a grassroots self
- help group, the branch has grown steadily over the years and has made significant progress.

Today the Sudbury Branch of the association is an incorporated, registered charity and offers numerous programs and services to people with hearing loss across North Eastern Ontario.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
