**About Us**:
Medical Clinic at Southpointe is a veteran owned and operated integrated health care clinic in the heart of Fort Saskatchewan. We are comprised of a diversified team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, a General Surgeon, a Registered Nurse, a Chiropractor, Massage Therapists, a Behavioural Health Consultant and an amazing administration team. Alongside family healthcare and clinical integrated services, we also run weekly Well Women's Clinics for all related women’s health and a Veterans Support program to assist with their complex needs.

As a Kinesiologist, your primary responsibility is to assess, rehabilitate, and enhance the physical well-being of individuals through exercise, movement analysis, and education. You will work closely with clients to develop personalized fitness plans, address movement dysfunctions, prevent injuries, and improve overall health and performance. Your expertise in human movement, anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics will be essential in guiding clients towards achieving their fitness and wellness goals.

**Highlights of the Role**
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Flexible days, evenings, and weekends
- Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (25 minutes northeast of downtown Edmonton)

**Expected Outcomes**:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical capabilities and limitations.
- Develop tailored exercise programs to address clients' specific needs and goals.
- Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust exercise plans accordingly to ensure optimal results.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and physicians, to facilitate holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client assessments, progress, and treatment plans.

**Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Proficiency in conducting movement assessments and functional evaluations.
- Ability to design and implement safe and effective exercise programs for diverse populations.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Proficient in using various assessment tools and equipment, such as goniometers, dynamometers, and motion analysis systems.
- Familiarity with exercise prescription software and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to demonstrate and instruct proper exercise techniques with clarity and precision.
- Aptitude for developing innovative and customized exercise routines to address individual client needs.
- Capacity to adapt exercise plans based on clients' feedback, progress, and any changes in their health status.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
- Certification from a recognized professional organization
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a clinical or fitness setting.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to exercise prescription and rehabilitation.
- Continuous professional development and commitment to staying updated with advancements in the field of kinesiology and sports science.
