As part of the Starline Windows safety team, you are responsible to ensure that our company safety ppolicies, work procedures, and WorkSafe BC occupational Health and safety regulations on the assigned construction sites are understood and followed

**Essential Skills**
Dexterity, physical fitness, stamina, attention to safety, the ability to work at heights, the ability to travel, communication, teamwork, and customer focus.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct effective site inspections to ensure nobody is exposed to unsafe conditions or activities,
- Inspect and observe operations for safe work practices and provide coaching as required; intervene/stop the work in the event potential safety issues that may lead to recordable incidents are identified,
- Conduct onside incident investigations,
- Enforce safety protocol among the team,
- Participate in site safety meetings and record minutes,
- Participate in head office monthly JHSC meetings,
- Submit required daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports,
- Maintain and build a culture of health and safety on site,
- Communicate with the site contractor,
- Other duties as required including but not limited to,
- Preparing and delivering safety training both on-site and in the lower mainland, Island, Interior, and Alberta and in head office,
- Assisting with injured workers and gradual return to work.

**Education and/or Experience**
- 3-5 years of construction safety experience working in high-rise construction,
- CSO designation,
- Current OFA2 or OFA3 certification
- Excellent comprehension of WSBC and OH&S regulations,
- Ability to work with safety data and produce reports using computer/technology,
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written),
- Ability to take ownership and influence a culture of safety on site,
- Strong work ethic,
- Positive team attitude.

**Work Environment**
- Outdoors in all temperatures, working at heights, safety sensitive work sites.
- Physically demanding standing, bending, kneeling.
- Working site: Construction sites which requires full PPE (Hard hats, CSA steel toe boots, safety glasses/goggles, high-visibility vests and fall protection equipment.

- Train the trainer in the following:

- WHMIS
- Fall protection
- Fit Testing
- Forklift and Zoom Boom certification
- Stage Swing and Bosun Chair awareness
