Horst Systems Ltd. is seeking an HR Coordinator for its dynamic, rapidly growing team. In this role, you will aid in promoting a positive and productive work atmosphere through coordination of HR activities throughout the company. This role works closely with Directors, managers, supervisors, and employees to execute its function.

**As our HR Coordinator, you will**:

- Support management to promote positive employee relationships and a productive workforce. Conduct research and attend training sessions to make recommendations to help the company navigate evolving employment law. Provide recommendations to management for legally compliant policies, and provide risk analyses as requested;
- Perform and complete full cycle recruitment and selection processes including, but not limited to, creation/updating job descriptions, creating job advertisements, pre-screening applicants, creating job-specific interview questions, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and more;
- Coordinate an annual performance review process with managers and supervisors including, but not limited to, distributing forms, filing, educating for proper use and completion;
- Maintain existing Human Resources Policies. Assisting with development and implementation of new/revised Human Resources Policies and procedures. Performing research and making recommendations based on changes in the legal landscape. Providing guidance and interpretation of employment law and HR policies for staff and management;
- Perform job analysis, including maintenance and creation of job descriptions, attending work locations, and job shadowing to collect job information;
- Assist with investigations related to confidential human resources matters, including harassment and bullying. Providing findings to management;
- Work with management and supervisors on return to work matters for non-occupational illness and injuries (STD, LTD) and create accommodation plans for safe and healthy return to work;
- Other duties as assigned.

**You will have**:

- College Diploma in business administration, human resources, or related discipline is required;
- CHRP and/or CHRL designation is considered an asset;
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a human resources position;
- Thorough knowledge of human resources principles and practices, employment legislation and health and safety principles and practices, including applicable legislation/regulations, particularly the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, WSIB, and PIPEDA;
- Strong communication, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills;
- Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in handling matters of confidential nature;
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment is considered an asset.
