Vinegar Filtration Technician

VINEGAR FILTRATION TECHNICIAN

A successful Production/Filtration (Vinegar) technician will work under the direction of the lead hand; plan and coordinate vinegar production and filtration; maintain records as they pertain to production and production ingredients; adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety regulations.

- Work Monday-Thursday 10 Hour Shifts - Dayshift
- Off every Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Job Responsibilities
- Complete testing of vinegar during production of vinegar
- Record data from acetators and other information pertaining to production, alcohol and mixes
- Maintain accurate, precise daily production records
- Issue PO’s and coordinate receipt of raw ingredients
- Prepare mixes and look after receivers being pumped off to storage
- Prepare flavor vinegar according to schedule
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of storage tanks, mix tanks for fermentation and acetators
- Filter vinegar as required for bottling lines, tankers, and barrels
- Clean and maintain various filter systems
- Clean and maintain vinegar production equipment, acetators, hoses and fittings
- Unload tankers (receiving of raw materials)
- Maintain area housekeeping
- Other duties as directed by the Lead Hand

**Qualifications**:

- Some heavy lifting
- Ability to work at height is required
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work in a computerized environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and re-act to changing environments
- Knowledge of pumps and motors would be an asset
- Forklift certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent manufacturing experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts including days, afternoons and weekends
